The New User form should be used in cases where an authorized user can request a that a new user be created. This requested is then routed to an approver. Upon approver, the user is then provisioned across relevant systems.
To create a request for a new user, follow the steps below:
- Login to Selfservice
- Click on the New User link
- The form below will be shown.
- First select the type of user that you want create. OpenIAM supports the notion that organization have different types of users (employees, customers, contractors, etc) and each of these users may have different attributes that need to be captured.
- Click on Next

- Fill out the appropriate field. The required fields contain a red * next to them.
- Click on Submit when done.
- The system will then send an email notification to the user or group of users who have been designated as the approvers for creating a new user
