To set up an application for provisioning, you must first install and configure a connector. Connectors are services that allow the OpenIAM identity manager to communicate with a target so that it can provision and deprovision accounts.
To install a connector, carry out the following steps:
- Select Provisioning from the top level menu
- Next select Provisioning Connectors. You will see the screen below.

OpenIAM supports two connector interfaces: SPML (EE Only) and a Webservices interface. To install the connector, enter the following information:
- Service URL
- Service Namespace - This can be obtained from the WSDL of the service.
- Service Port - This can be obtained from the WSDL of the service.
The service does not have to deployed on the OpenIAM server. Click on Submit when you are done entering the information.
