The Delegated User Management feature in the self service application is intended for authorized users or delegated administrators to manage their users without having to log into the primary administration console. This functionality allows the administrator to carry out the following tasks:
- Query a user
- Edit a users profile
- Change their identity
- Change their group membership
- Change their role membership
- Reset their password
- View a snap of the audit log as it pertains to that user.
The following steps describe how to carry out each of the activities listed above.
Query User
To look up a user, please follow the steps below:
- Click on the Manage User Link
- The search screen below will be shown


- Enter your search criteria and enter submit. The screen allows you to search on any combination of search criteria
- From the result set, click on the User Name. This will bring up the user detail or profile screen.
Edit User Profile
To edit a user's profile, please follow the steps below.
- First find a user, using the steps described above in "Query User".
- This will bring up the user profile screen shown below.
- Edit the appropriate fields and click on Submit.
- Changes made on this screen will be synchronized with the relevant repositories.

The Edit Profile screen also lets you change a users status through a set of buttons at the bottom of the screen. These buttons allow you to do the following:
- Active - Changes the status of a user to Active
- Delete - Change the status of user to Deleted. In these case, the user will be de-provisioned from the systems that they are currently in.
- Disable - Disables or Locks a user. The user will not be able to log into the other systems either
- Enable - Remove the effects of "Disable
Change Identity
The may be occasions where you need to change the users identity. This can be done using the following steps.
- Look up a user as described above.
- Click on the Identites link as shown below.
- The identities screen will display a list of all identities that a user has. Based on the underlying rules, its possible to different identities in the various systems that a user may have access to.
- Change the appropriate identity values and click on submit
- These changes will be synchronized with the appropriate backend systems


Change Group Membership
To change a users group membership, follow the steps below:
- Look up a user as described above.
- Click on the Group link shown below.
- The Group screen will show the list of groups that are available. Simply "Check" the groups that a user should belong to and "Uncheck" the groups that they should not belong to.
- Click on submit when you are done.

Change Role Membership
To change a users Role membership, follow the steps below:
- Look up a user as described above.
- Click on the Role link shown below.
- The Role screen will show the list of roles that are available. Simply "Check" the roles that a user should belong to and "Uncheck" the roles that they should not belong to.
- Click on submit when you are done.

Reset password
To Reset a users password, follow the steps below
- Look up a user as described above.
- Click on the Password Reset link shown below.
- Enter the new password and click on the Save
Note: If the policy requires, an internal status will be set to force the user to change their password on their next login attempt.
