After we have configured the connectivity information, we need to define a resource for the application. From the identity manager's perspective, a resource can be a system, service or application that the identity manager communicates with. Examples of resources that are used in provisioning include LDAP, Active Directory, Google Apps, etc.
To define a resource, please follow the steps below.
- Select the Resource option from the Access Control menu.
- Next, select the type of resource. In the case, select Managed System. These are resources that will be used for provisioning.

Selecting Managed System will bring up the list of existing provisioning resources as shown below. To create a new resource, select New Resource. To view an existing resource, click on the source's name.
